THE LAKE

Spanning roughly 19 acres, our lake features depths ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters and boasts picturesque banks lined with trees and lush vegetation. Opened in March 2002, Etang des Moulinots offers 12 swims, including 2 double swims, with entry limited to 10 anglers plus the bailiff. This setup grants each angler over 1.9 acres of exclusive fishing space, allowing for flexibility and optimal enjoyment.

 

Previously used for fish farming, the lake was drained and restocked in late 2001 to focus on larger carp, with current residents reaching up to 65 lbs. Notably, the lake is free from poisson chat and crayfish, ensuring a pristine fishing experience.

 

Over our 23 years of operation, we’ve consistently enhanced the fishery by refurbishing swims, improving vehicle access to all areas, and upgrading facilities. With around 230 to 260 carp, 70% of which weigh over 35 lbs, we offer a remarkable angling experience. Our photo gallery showcases the impressive quality of carp we provide.

The Lodge

Our lodge features a modern, fully equipped kitchen complete with a cozy log fire, a beautiful dining room perfect for chilly months, and a covered outdoor dining area ideal for warm summer days. All meals are prepared daily to a high standard in our exceptional kitchen. Please note that the kitchen is not available for use by anglers on a self-catering holiday.

Additionally, we have two identical English showers and toilets available, as well as a designated washing-up area for self-catering guests. For your convenience, we also provide charging points for your batteries and bait boats. Limited freezer space is available for anglers to store their bait and other items.
